Hello Baltimore Lab School Families,
Our goal of the Parents’ Association is to provide support to BLS in its entirety. This includes all students, administration, staff, and faculty throughout all aspects of the school. We focus on strong communication and continuous collaboration, as well as fostering a sense of community by implementing fun and successful activities/events throughout the year! Please see the information in the Parents’ Association Welcome Packet for more information about the PA and our objectives.
We are excited for you to join in on the fun of the Parents’ Association and we are thrilled to contribute to another great year by offering exciting events for the BLS community! This year we will have many volunteer opportunities that will enable you to share in creating lasting memories supporting your child and their school! We will continue with our lunch programs including Tuesday’s Pizza day, Thursday’s Chick-fil-A day, and Friday’s Graul’s Market day. The Parents’ Association will also host the Scholastic Book Fair, our traditional Annual Dinner Fundraiser, as well as adding a new Spirit Wear Program with SwagDog. This will allow for purchases for both children and adults to show our support for BLS’s Mission! The FIRST EVENT of the year will be the Welcome Back Orientation on August 27th from 12:00pm to 3pm. Please come by the PA table so we can introduce ourselves and meet you and your family. You can also fill out forms, drop off membership dues, sign up for our lunch programs, and learn more about our fun-filled year ahead! We will have numerous volunteer opportunities available and desperately need YOUR HELP to make all of these efforts a success. We are also eager to meet you, would appreciate your time to volunteer, and look forward to working together all the while making lasting memories for all of our children at Baltimore Lab School!
Please complete the Membership Form in this Welcome Packet and return all forms to BLS (Attn: Parents’ Association) or via email by September 1, 2018. All families are automatically part of the Parents’ Association, however we do encourage each family to pay their dues as these funds will go toward the many events we have planned! This year we have set a goal of 80% participation and if that goal is met by the parents and the goal is met, the kids will have an EXCITING reward! We will also be utilizing a “Sign Up Genius” which will be sent via email prior to numerous events allowing other ways to contribute! See below for more information regarding a calendar of events for the upcoming school year.
