Services Overview

Every Baltimore Lab School student benefits from ongoing, one-on-one evaluations and customized academic strategies. In addition to offering integrated services in the classroom, we offer on-site clinical related services including speech-language therapy, occupational therapy, reading support, and psychological services to help ensure academic success. In fact, most of our students receive some level of related service support. Our occupational therapists, speech and language pathologists, and clinical psychologists and social workers are active in the classroom, working with students and collaborating closely with teachers to enhance our programs.  By embedding these services into our school day and making them integral to our program, we assure that students get the help they need, when they need it most. In addition to integrating services in the classroom, our fulltime, on-site specialists offer reading support, speech-language therapy, occupational therapy, and psychological services in individual and small group sessions.

Whether the need is for Speech-Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Psychological Services, Reading Support, or a combination of these, our highly-trained Related Service professionals are unrivaled in the diagnosis and treatment of neuropsychological problems linked to learning disabilities.

Diagnostic Assessment

As part of our pre-evaluation process, our clinicians will select levels of diagnostic testing/evaluation tailored to your child’s particular needs.

Treatment

Our therapists employ a deep knowledge of traditional and cutting-edge interventions targeted to the needs of each student. Treatment may take place in individual or small group settings.

Consultation

Consultation services are available to parents and professionals. Our experienced team can review and provide opinions on prior assessments and offer expert advice on the next steps for treatment. We also consult with schools and community programs regarding the best way to support students in those settings. This is a flexible, individualized service that is tailored to our students’ needs.
