Founded in 2000, Baltimore Lab School offers an exceptional academic experience for bright, motivated students with learning disabilities and/or ADHD. Developed as a division of The Lab School of Washington – the first school of its kind in the nation – our school enjoys a worldwide reputation for transforming lives as we guide students on the path to success.

- Founded by Sally L. Smith in 2000
- Developed as a division of The Lab School of Washington, founded 1967
- Became fully independent from The Lab School of Washington in 2014
OUR PROGRAM
- Serves students with language-based learning disabilities and/or ADHD in grades 1-12
- Uses the Arts as the gateway to teaching & learning academic skills
- Prepares students for college & career, with the majority of our graduates accepted to college
- Integrates technology across all classes (including 1:1 word processors, tablets, & digital whiteboards)
- Incorporates our Digital Arts Lab for graphic design, animation, video production, & more
- Supports a wide variety of after-school sports & activities
- Plans local and domestic travel & learning opportunities
- Accesses outstanding off-campus aquatic & sports facilities
- Integrates Outdoor Education adventures & opportunities across all grade levels
- Offers Related Services like Speech, Counseling, & Occupational Therapy, including on-site OT gym
- Sponsors off-campus internships for all 12th Graders
- Provides community service opportunities and Service Learning projects
